Included in the range are Grate Magnets, Tube Magnets, Bullet Magnets, Magnetic Traps, Magnetic Drum, Hand Held Metal Detector, Pneumatic Vibrator and Vibratory Feeder Drives. As product flows past the powerful magnetic bullet (up to 12000 gauss), ferrous particles as small as 30 microns and tiny paramagnetic particles such as stainless steel scrapings are filtered out. These very fine ferrous and stainless steel particles are smaller than can be detected with a metal detector. Eriez Magnetics Europe Ltd will be present at RWM 2014, (16th - 18th September), at the NEC, Birmingham, to demonstrate new developments with its range of eddy current separators. This advanced equipment will enable waste processors to achieve an extremely high level separation of non-ferrous material from waste material fines.

Eriez Magnetics Europe Ltd has given three young men from the local community mechanical and electrical apprenticeships. The fantastic opportunity will not only enable the new starters to gain a new set of skills and experience working life, but will also help develop a new generation at Eriez. Magnetic Drums - Permanent magnets for automatic separation of ferromagnetic and paramagnetic particles. As material reaches the Drum, the magnetic field attracts and holds ferrous particles to the Drum shell. As the Drum revolves, it carries the material through the stationary magnetic field. The non-magnetic material falls freely from the shell, while ferrous particles are held firmly until they are carried out of the magnetic field.

Flanges on the top and bottom of the Bullet Magnet enable easy installation into existing vertical pipelines and free-fall chutes which transport material. Bullet Magnets consist of a stainless steel housing with a maintenance door on which the magnet system is attached to, the magnet system is positioned in the centre of the housing and therefore in the middle of the free-falling product stream. A splitting cone distributes the material homogeneously over the cylindric magnet system. The magnet element is either made out of Neodymium Iron Boron or Strontium Ferrite depending on the application. Guide stripes within the housing ensure that the material is directed as close as possible to the surface of the magnet.
