I love how these Vawdrey's brother loose their heads and their emotions go over the top when they mee the right woman! LMAOOO The play was definitely the thing here. I loved how that dumb bulb cheater king Wymer tried to figure out the implications of the play while his clever queen Armenal figured it out straight away.

Second read: 4.5 stars. I don’t know what I was thinking the first time around, but I definitely appreciated this book more the second time. I absolutely LOVE the hero, he’s fantastic. All his scheming and plotting made him all the more delicious. Also, the sex scenes were 🔥🔥🔥.

Her mouth formed a silent ‘oh’ and he felt her tremble slightly beneath him. She slid her hand down his upper arm in what she might have imagined was a comforting gesture, but he was far too over-stimulated for her touch. I’m also sad that this book didn’t have an epilogue. I’m glad we get glimpses of this couple in future books, but I still want more!
