About this deal
Seven new studies were included ( Hindy 2009; Jiaao 2011; Lehna 2017; Mabrouk 2012; Oen 2012; Tsoutsos 2009; Wang 2015). With the five previously included studies there are now 12 included studies in this review. observer report): I1: 1.4 (25–75th percentile 1.2–1.8); I2: 1.4 (25–75th percentile 1.2–1.6), reported P = 0.17. Immediately apply MEBO Burn and Wound Ointment on the wound to relieve pain, stop bleeding, alleviate injuries and prevent infection in cases of scalds and burns by hot oil, boiling water, or friction burns. The sooner, the better.
S7 TI ( face or facial or nose or mouth or ear or ears) or AB ( face or facial or nose or mouth or ear or ears ) Treatment condition: a clean or sterile (which is not absolutely necessary) environment is required. Temperature around the wound surface should be kept at 34–38°C. For family use, when flame burn, hot oil, hot water scald or skin abrasion occurs, MEBO should be smeared onto the wound immediately, and then pain alleviation, damage decreasing and infection prevention will be achieved.
Mafenide acetate cream + gentamicin via iontophoresis (7 participants) vs usual care (mafenide acetate cream) (8 participants)
Spread the necessary amount of ointment on the area and cover with sterile gauze, possibly imbibed with more ointment. Two to three days later, burned skin would heal. Continue applying MEBO as a protective ointment for about one week so as to fully restore normal skin functions. Ideally 'time to wound healing' should be measured as a time‐to‐event outcome and reported in survival curves and expressed as hazard ratios. Only two studies ( Ang 2000, Oen 2012) analysed time to wound healing properly, as a time‐to‐event outcome. For studies that reported on 'time to wound healing', if all the recruited participants did not heal within the study period it would have been wrong to report mean time to wound healing. Three out of 12 studies stated that all participants healed during the study, and in six studies this was verifiable, in the other three studies this was not stated or verifiable ( Table 5).There may be little or no difference in time to wound healing between SSD and cerium‐SSD in facial burns. Mebo Scar Ointment is helpful in removing scars and recovers your healthy and glowing skin. Mebo Scar ointment can give relief against symptoms on scar location like functional restriction, pruritus, skin chaps, and scar skin hyperplasia. Quote: "Patients lost to follow‐up at 3 months had a shorter hospital length of stay. This was also true at 12 months. At 12 months this was related to percentage total body surface area burned as well."
Personal communication; 3 (post‐randomisation) exclusions in MEBO group, because of diabetes. Dropout rate not reported, but complete outcome data likely. ITT analysis unclear. Median days (25–75th percentile) to healing (> 90%) in wounds without surgery: I1: 11.0 (7.0–15.0); I2: 9.0 (5.0–17.75), reported P = 0.17.Four studies reported time to complete wound healing, one based on a comparison of wounds within patients ( Lehna 2017). Tsoutsos 2009 also reported the proportion of participants who were completely healed at 14 days.
