Before each show, one of our expert astronomers will whisk audiences off on a tour of the cosmos. Special experiences for music lovers and planetarium fans alike. How to BookRoom lighting is left at a higher level, bright enough that you can walk around safely, and leave and re-enter the show if you wish. Written by an astrophysicist from University College London and illustrated by the phenomenally talented Chris Wormell, Planetarium explores the solar system, the sun, the night sky as seen from Earth, the stars, galaxies, and the universe as we know it.

Planetarium: (Welcome To The Museum) by Raman Prinja | WHSmith

Raman Prinja is Professor of Astrophysics at University College London, where he specialises in massive stars, star formation and the evolution of galaxies. He is a multiple winner of UCL faculty and department teaching awards and is keen to bring the subject of astronomy to a wider audience. He has written several successful books on the subject, including Night Sky Watcher which was shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize in 2015. Starting just 100 kilometres above our planet, space stretches further than we can imagine, and only now are we starting to unravel some of its many mysteries.

The presenter will describe everything before it happens, giving plenty of time for you to prepare for any changes in light levels, imagery or sounds. Join us for The Sky Tonight, a live planetarium show presented by an astronomer from the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
