A portable device called the Pokémon GO Plus (sold separately) will enable Pokémon GO players to enjoy the game even while they’re not looking at their smart phones. Compatible with both iOS and Android, Pokémon GO Plus connects to smartphones via Bluetooth low energy and notifies players about nearby Pokémon and PokéStops. When a Pokémon is near, the device will vibrate and its LED will flash green. Players can press the button on the device once close to throw a Poké Ball. A successful catch will result in the device flashing and vibrating. To use the Pokémon GO Plus device with the Pokémon GO app, by Niantic Inc, an app update is required. It will also require a compatible smartphone. Pokémon GO Plus is compatible with the following operating systems:

The Pokémon Go Plus can be worn either on your wrist – it comes bundled with a strap – or you can clip it on to your belt, coat, or shirt. Will it be compatible with my phone? If the performance of your Pokémon GO Plus + seems unstable, it may improve if you update the OS on your smart device. This accessory requires a device (using Android or iOS) with the Pokémon GO and/or Pokémon Sleep applications installed.
