Throwing in that a character from an earlier book was not “doing well” but never letting us (the reader) know what was going on and why one hangout with the girls cured her. Then there is the writing style. It’s cringe worthy for me. Unusual expressions and phrasing, almost as if the book was translated into English. The female character’s pension for violence is concerning (frequent thoughts of violence)
