Rum-Bar White Overproof is a blend of three of our unaged rums and is distilled in a 100% copper pot still built in Scotland. Opium is centrally located but hidden: from the city centre, cross Pulteney Bridge, turn first left, then left again.

Distilled in 2010, this um was aged first in once used, American White Oak Ex-Bourbon casks for 8 years, followed by Ruby Port casks for 2 years.

It’s tiki all the way, so expect palm trees and cocktail umbrellas, but it’s tongue-in-cheek rather than genuinely trashy. In 2005, Gordon was the driving force behind the construction of the new Worthy Park distillery, which reclaimed the heritage of rum production on the estate that dates to 1741.Liverpool has a rich maritime history and has long embraced exotic imports from far away lands, none more so than Rum. Though there’s an indoor cocktail bar, most drinking and socialising usually takes place outside in the large, walled terraced garden, which is decked out with outdoor sofas, picnic tables and other seating, and jollied up with fairy lights.

The list offers many a take on this classic cocktail, including the original recipe, and modernised versions. One of 12 signature serves at JOIA Bar – the bar set across the 14th floor of art’otel Battersea – is the fantastic ‘Granada’, made from a fragrant combination of Havana 7 rum, cherry liqueur, pinto port, pandan cordial and tonka bitters.You can also find them in the Westfield Stratford world food court, but for the full experience you’ll definitely want to get out to E17.
